Our National School Engagement & Education Program

As part of our national school engagement and education program our Founder Cara Aprile was invited to speak at All Hallows’ School last week to discuss the impact nutrition has on our children, what we should be feeding our children and how Lilly’s Little Lunchbox is on a mission to help improve all of this!

We believe schools play a pivotal role in shaping children's health behaviors and promoting wellness within the community. According to the Australian Health Policy Collaboration, approximately 80% of Australian children spend the majority of their waking hours in school. Therefore, schools are an ideal setting for implementing interventions that promote healthy eating and physical activity.

Food educators and canteen convenors are doing a tremendous job in ensuring their children are getting the nutrition they deserve. We understand the difficulties of this role and how individuals in these roles are under resourced, so we collaborate with schools and daycares to implement initiatives that support children's health and well-being. We all have the same mutual goal at the end of the day.

If you are an educator, parent or carer and want to find out more about this program, reach out to us at info@lillyslittlelunchbox.com to find out more.
